Next away defeat for Rostock basketball players
The Rostock Seawolves still have nothing to play for away from home in the German Basketball League. The team of Head Coach Christian Held lost 83:93 (33:49) at Bamberg Baskets on Tuesday evening and so also lost its fifth away game of the season. The visitors' best scorer was Tyler Nelson with 16 points.
Rostock had already trailed by 7:17 in the first quarter, but then staged a comeback and went into the second period with a narrow lead. However, the club from Mecklenburg managed virtually nothing in offense in this period. After eight minutes, the visitors had just three more points to their name. Even Chevez Goodwin, who had been strong of late, missed three free throws in a row before adding the fourth of just six points for Rostock in this spell from the foul line shortly before the break.
However, Held's team did not give up, decided the third quarter narrowly in its favor and fought its way back to 63:70 midway through the final period. However, the Seawolves were not able to do any more and then had to let Bamberg pull away again and still lost by a clear margin.
Despite their recent efforts, the Rostock Seawolves' men's basketball team continued to struggle away from home in the Bundesliga, as they lost to Bamberg Baskets 93-83. Despite a strong showing by Tyler Nelson with 16 points, Rostock cannot seem to find success outside of Rostock, as they have now lost five away games in a row. Unfortunately, even in their hometown Bundesliga, the Rostock Seawolves of the Men's Basketball League have yet to score a win.
