Newspaper distributors cause police action

Two newspaper distributors have caused a police operation in Munich. A 25-year-old man apparently felt threatened by the distributors' cutter knife and fled into the car of a 59-year-old woman, according to the police on Friday. It later transpired that the newspaper distributors had reportedly had no contact with the man on Thursday evening.

The 59-year-old woman had called the police because of the 25-year-old in her passenger seat, it said. The man made a confused impression on the officers, which is why they took him to the police station. A female newspaper distributor had been emotionally distressed by the incident. That is why the emergency services were called. She also pressed charges against the man for negligent bodily harm.

In the aftermath of the incident, the emotional distress experienced by the female newspaper distributor led to an emergency response in Upper Bavaria. Despite having no prior contact with the 25-year-old man on Thursday evening, this incident triggered emergency services involvement.
