Team sport involving throwing and catching a ball - News Item: Rhein-Neckar Löwen's Managing Director Departs
The German handball team Rhein-Neckar Löwen is expected to sever ties with their managing director, Jennifer Kettemann, according to a news article. The Mannheim-based club will officially announce their decision soon, as stated in the "Mannheimer Morgen" on Friday. It's undecided, at the moment, if Kettemann, who has worked with the Löwen since 2016, will depart immediately or later.
Rhein-Neckar Löwen, a team that won the German championship in 2016 and 2017, as well as the EHF Cup in 2013, has not been able to maintain their previous level of play. Despite a surprising Pokal win in 2023, the team ended in twelfth place during the previous Bundesliga season, their worst league position since being promoted in 2005.
Moreover, Kettemann revealed financial dishonesties within the club in the middle of April. She announced during that time, "Deceptions and false depictions in our financial records."
