- Newcomer Conteh hits for the Heidenheim test game win
The 1. FC Heidenheim has won its seventh football friendly ahead of the upcoming Bundesliga season. During the second training camp in Austrian Schwaz, the team coached by Frank Schmidt defeated Italian Serie A newcomers Parma Calcio 1-0 (0:0). The goal was scored by new signing and midfielder Sirlord Conteh, who joined from 2. Bundesliga side SC Paderborn, in the 71st minute.
In the previous six friendlies, FCH had secured convincing wins against lower-tier opponents. The match against Parma, their first real tough test, proved much more challenging in the intense heat. The training camp in Mils in Tirol continues until Sunday.
