Bundesliga 2 - New striker for KSC: Hunziker arrives from Basel
Football-Second division team Karlsruher SC has signed another new player. The Baden team have loaned the 21-year-old Swiss striker Andrin Hunziker from FC Basel, as they announced on Friday.
"With his size, he can hold his own as a striker in the front line under pressure from defenders, and he is hard to defend against in header situations," said Sport Chief Sebastian Freis about the 1.92 meter tall offensive player: "As a diligent midfielder, he exudes goal danger, but he is also not shy of working for the team."
Hunziker had to fill the gap left by Igor Matanovic at Karlsruher. The striker scored 14 goals for the KSC last season, but after his loan in this summer he returned to Eintracht Frankfurt.
The KSC has taken up the preparation for the new round this week. On Saturday, the Second division team will play its first test game against the A-League team FSV Kappelrodeck-Waldulm.
