Media - New reality show: Joey Kelly travels through America with his family
Television viewers will now get to know even more members of the popular Kelly family of musicians. Extreme adventurer Joey Kelly has traveled to North and South America with his wife Tanja and their children Luke, Leon, Lillian and Lisann, as RTLzwei announced on Wednesday.
"Two continents, 15 countries and around 30,000 kilometers - that's the Panamericana, the longest road in the world. Joey Kelly, member of The Kelly Family, has turned this journey into a challenge," says RTLzwei. "Together with his wife Tanja and their children Luke, Leon, Lillian and Lisann, he ventures on the adventure from Canada to Argentina in an old camper van and without a penny in his pocket."
The broadcaster describes the challenge for the family of six from the Rhineland: "They are dependent on donations, which they collect through street music and temporary jobs, among other things. In Canada, the family has no idea that they are putting themselves in danger at times." Joey Kelly became famous in the 1990s as a musician in the family band The Kelly Family. Today he is an entrepreneur and has been married to his wife Tanja for more than 20 years. Their son Luke is 23, Leon 19, Lillian 16 and baby Lisann seven years old.
The nine episodes of "Joey Kelly and Family - Road Trip Panamericana" will be broadcast on RTLzwei from January 3 at 8.15 p.m. on Wednesdays.
