New Playmobil exhibition "World Tour" at Eberbach Monastery

With the new Playmobil exhibition "World Tour", Eberbach Monastery in the Rheingau region wants to enable its visitors to encounter the peoples and religions of the world. "With this format, we want to appeal to guests of all generations and faiths and thus also set an example for tolerance, charity and the diversity of cultures," explained Julius Wagner, Chairman of the Board of the Eberbach Monastery Foundation, on Wednesday.

The family exhibition developed especially for the monastery will start on November 25. Under the direction of Hamburg artist Oliver Schaffer, more than 5,000 small play figures populate more than a dozen exhibition landscapes and there are more than 100,000 built-in parts. The scenes in the exhibition are set, for example, in Australia, the Arctic Circle or the South Seas.

According to the announcement, the figures also include "Abbot Martin" with a boar. It is named after Abbot Martin Ryfflinck, who shaped the monastery during his tenure (1498-1506) with his erudition and sense of innovation.

During their leisure time, families visiting the Eberbach Monastery can explore the intricate details of the new Playmobil exhibition "World Tour," which showcases various cultures and religions. Furthermore, children might find enjoyment in the playful games featured among the more than 10,000 small figures scattered throughout the various exhibition landscapes.
