Exhibition grounds - New development plan for Leipziger Messe
For more diversity and attractiveness, the building plan of the Leipzig Trade Fair is to be revised. The Leipzig Trade Fair GmbH intends, on the approximately 111 hectare large area, to use and expand existing halls in different ways, as the city announces. In addition, there is a lack of storage spaces on site and open-air events are to be possible on the terrain. The owner could also imagine using some areas for the generation of renewable energies, it continues. The building department is now working on the changes, the city council then still has to decide on the plans.
