New boss at flight attendants' union Ufo
The flight attendants' union Ufo has a new chairman in Joachim Vázquez Bürger. The trained aviation businessman flies for Lufthansa Cityline and was previously responsible for politics and external relations on the Ufo board. He was elected as the successor to Daniel Kassa Mbuambi, as the union announced on Friday in Mörfelden-Walldorf near Frankfurt. Vázquez Bürger emphasized the claim of Ufo, which competes with Verdi, to conclude collective agreements for all business areas of passenger air traffic.
The election of Joachim Vázquez Bürger as the new chairman of Ufo has raised questions about his approach towards air traffic-related trade union matters. As the new leader, he aims to expand Ufo's influence and negotiate collective agreements for various sectors within passenger air traffic.
