Infrastructure - New alliance for social coexistence is founded

In a new "Alliance for Social Cohesion in Hesse," the state government will explore, together with partners, how social cohesion can be improved. The core element is urban planning for social district development. The alliance will come together for its founding meeting today (10:30 am) in Wiesbaden. Besides Economic Minister Kaweh Mansoori and Social Minister Heike Hofmann (both SPD), representatives from social institutions and local leadership, as well as from universities, foundations, and the business sector are present.

"The significance of social cohesion for our society is greater than ever," states the invitation from the Economic Ministry. The alliance is part of the state initiative "Experience More Together." It offers funding for municipalities for urban development to strengthen social cohesion. This can, for example, involve the renovation or new construction of kindergartens, community centers, or youth centers.

The alliance will hold its meetings in Wiesbaden, the capital of Hesse, to discuss infrastructure improvements for social district development, aiming to enhance societal cohesion. As part of the "Experience More Together" initiative, the partnership seeks to provide financial support for municipalities in Hesse to build or renovate facilities like kindergartens and community centers, fostering social integration.
