Netzhoppers experience a cup debacle in Gotha
Netzhoppers Königs Wusterhausen bowed out of the competition in the first round of the German Volleyball Cup without much ado. The Bundesliga club from Brandenburg lost 3:0 (15:25, 18:25, 16:25) at Blue Volleys Gotha, the league leaders in the 2nd Division South, in the round of 16 on Sunday. In front of 150 spectators in Gotha, the Netzhoppers, who had reached the cup final in 2021, only kept the chance of at least winning a set open in the second half until the second technical timeout (15:16).
Despite their previous cup final appearance in 2021, Netzhoppers Königs Wusterhausen disappointingly exited the DVV Cup at the Round of sixteen, losing to Blue Volleys Gotha. Their Volleyball journey in this year's competition came to an end with a 3-0 defeat (15:25, 18:25, 16:25).
