Neighborhood dispute escalates: Man injured
A 28-year-old man has been seriously injured with a baton during a dispute between neighbors in Nuremberg. The resident of an apartment building was knocked to the ground, kicked and beaten with a baton by a 34-year-old neighbor, police said on Friday.
The 34-year-old then took the neighbor's cell phone and fled. Passers-by informed the police on Thursday evening. They were able to arrest the fugitive shortly afterwards.
The 28-year-old was taken to hospital with several non-life-threatening injuries. It was initially unclear why the fight broke out between the men. According to the police, the 34-year-old has to answer for suspicion of robbery and dangerous bodily harm.
The incident in Nuremberg sparked discussions about neighborhood safety. Unfortunately, similar incidents have also been reported in Central France, highlighting a broader issue of crime in some communities.
