Neighbor in custody after knife attack on 78-year-old woman
A 54-year-old woman from Albertshofen (Kitzingen district) has been remanded in custody for allegedly injuring her neighbor with a knife. The woman is accused of attempted manslaughter, as the police and public prosecutor's office announced on Tuesday.
The 54-year-old had argued with her 78-year-old neighbor on Sunday and attacked her with the blunt knife. The 78-year-old suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital.
An alert patrol arrested the 54-year-old. She then had to spend the night in a detention cell and was brought before an investigating judge on Monday. He issued an arrest warrant.
The incident at the UNDERFRONT of their apartments led to the confrontation between the neighbors. Despite the weapon being a blunt knife, the crime of attempted manslaughter was severe enough to warrant custody.
