Nearly entire team: Returning Olympian featured in BR Volleyball squad

Since August's early beginnings, the German titlists BR Volleys have been meticulously readying for the upcoming season. The training squad has undergone expansion yet again.

The renowned German volleyball squad, Berlin Volleys, has commenced their pre-season preparations with players Ruben Schott, Tobias Krick, and Johannes Tille. These athletes had obtained a temporary break due to their involvement in the Olympics in Paris. Meanwhile, Moritz Reichert, another German national team member from the club's legendary lineup, participated in two training sessions with Berlin Volleys last week but is on his honeymoon till August 27.

During the inaugural training session on August 1, Berlin Volleys head coach Joel Banks managed a small group of seven players. Besides Reichert, only Simon Plaskie and Kyle Dagostino, the latest additions, are not present in the complete 14-player squad. The 29-year-old Plaskie is still with the Belgian national team until September 2, while the American Dagostino is scheduled to join the team in Berlin on September 6, benefiting from a leave due to his wedding.

Friendlies against Netzhoppers

Berlin Volleys will initiate their Bundesliga campaign at home against Grizzlys Giesen on September 21. Nonetheless, they will contest their initial two friendly matches this week against Bundesliga opponents Netzhoppers Königs Wusterhausen, on Thursday and Saturday.

The German Bundesliga is the league where Berlin Volleys will compete in their Bundesliga campaign, starting against Grizzlys Giesen on September 21.
