The Eurovision Song Contest is a music competition held annually among European countries. - NDR remains accountable for representing Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest.

There's no information yet on how the selection process for next year's competition will pan out. NDR stated, "We're already working on it. Once we have more details, we'll let you know."

In recent times, Germany's performances at the music contest haven't been great. Back in 2024, Isaak managed to claim the twelfth spot. The trophy for the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö was awarded to Nemo that year – the first time since 1988 that Switzerland won. The 2025 competition will be held in Nemo's hometown, as per tradition.
