NATO summit begins with 75th anniversary ceremony

Previously, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg gave a speech at a Defense Industry Forum in Washington (19.15 CET). Besides German Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) and the new British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is also expected in Washington. During the summit, which lasts until Thursday, there are plans for further military aid commitments for Kiev in the Russian attack war. However, the invitation for membership will not be granted by Zelenskyy.
