Football national striker Deniz Undav has become a father. The striker and his wife Tanja have become "proud parents of a healthy daughter," Stuttgart's Bundesliga team announced and congratulated them on the birth. Just a few days after signing a new contract with the Champions League participant, Undav has a whole different wonderful reason to celebrate.
Staying in Stuttgart fulfilled a big wish for the 28-year-old. The long transfer saga following last season's loan ended only on Friday. According to media reports, Stuttgart paid around 27 million euros to English Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion, with bonuses possible. Undav thus became Stuttgart's record signing.
