Fund of a Dead One - Mystery solved: woman took drugs

More than two weeks after the discovery of a woman's body in a forest area near Straßberg on the Swabian Alb, investigators have been able to answer the central and still open question of the cause of death. According to the preliminary results of the investigation, the 30-year-old died as a result of taking the stimulant amphetamine. There are no indications of foul play, it was reported.

A hiker found the body on July 21 in the forest near a ski lift. The woman lived in the region, according to police. The cause of her death remained unclear for a long time.

The investigation revealed other potential factors contributing to the woman's health deterioration, including her lifestyle and medical history. Apart from the amphetamine use, no definitive explanations for her sudden death were found.
