- Mysterious Individuals Pilfer Approximately 200 Void Beer Barrels
Some unknown individuals managed to swipe around 200 emptied beer kegs, each holding 30 liters, from a festival location in the Rottweil district. As the authorities revealed, these thieves nabbed the kegs from a beverage trailer at the "Rock am Burghaldenwald" festival in Vöhringen between nightfall on Sunday and the break of dawn on Monday.
The trailer was protected by a padlock, which the burglars dismantled while carrying out the theft. The authorities suspect that they then made their escape with the kegs using a sizeable vehicle or another trailer. As a police representative explained, it appears that the thieves were pursuing the monetary value of the kegs' deposits, which amounts to approximately 2,400 euros. Now, the authorities are on the lookout for potential witnesses.
The authorities are considering implementing stricter security measures to prevent such incidents, potentially including the Commission's adoption of acts to regulate the protection of beverage trailers at events.
