- Musician experiences instrument theft and eventual recovery
At the Görlitz Old Town Celebration, a musician had his bass taken. According to the local authority's announcement in Neiße town, two individuals initially asked the musician for a restroom close to the stage. Not long after, the musician realized that his valuable five-string bass guitar, a custom-made piece, was missing. The police estimated the worth of the instrument to approximately 2,200 euros. A bystander managed to pinpoint one of the suspects. In the end, the stolen instrument was found in the 43-year-old's dwelling. As the police report concluded, "The bassist regained his belongings, and the performance could commence."
The musician expressed his concern to the local authority about the missing bass, as it wasn't among his belongings after the incident at the celebration. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the other suspect, who was not initially apprehended, had also played a role in the theft.
