Fairs - Music producer Rick Rubin at digital trade fair OMR in May
The Hamburg digital trade fair OMR has added more well-known names to its list of speakers. Music producer Rick Rubin will now also be talking about his everyday professional life, as the organizers announced in Hamburg on Thursday. The 60-year-old, who has won multiple Grammys with musicians such as Jay-Z, Johnny Cash and Adele, is very familiar with the transition from the traditional recording business to the digital world. Also taking part are YouTube pioneer Mrs. Bella, who now launches her own cosmetic products, and "self-optimizer" Bryan Johnson, who strives for eternal youth.
US artist Jeff Koons and Signal CEO Meredith Whittaker, politicians Gregor Gysi and Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, singer Vanessa Mai and the founder of energy transition company 1Komma5Grad, Philipp Schröder, have already confirmed their participation. In total, more than 750 speakers will talk about their experiences in the digital world, share their insights and give OMR visitors tips.
In 2023, a good 72,000 people visited the digital festival. The trade fair is mainly attended by movers and shakers and decision-makers from national and international digital, media and marketing companies. In this respect, the OMR Festival is considered one of the largest trade fairs in Europe. In addition to the content, the program also includes entertainment by well-known musicians. In 2023, for example, Macklemore, Fettes Brot, K.I.Z. and Jan Delay took part. The two-day OMR festival around the Hamburg TV tower begins on May 7, 2024.
