Music award "1Live-Krone": Nina Chuba, Cro and Ski Aggu
Rapper Nina Chuba and her colleague Cro have won the "1Live-Krone" as best artists. They were honored together with other musicians in Bielefeld on Thursday evening. For Chuba ("Wildberry Lillet") it is the third "crown" of her still young career. Cro ("Summer") thanked him for the award via video message from Bali.
Rapper Ski Aggu won Best Newcomer, who was also honored together with rap crew 01099 for the hip-hop hit "Anders". Ski Aggu also won in the "Best Song" category - with the party hit "Friesenjung", which he also performed at the awards ceremony together with Otto Waalkes and Joost.
The title "Summer" by Casper feat. Co won in the category "Best Alternative Song". The most popular dance song was presented by newcomer Bennett with "Vois sur ton chemin".
Listeners of the young WDR station 1Live voted for their favorites in eight categories, choosing their favorites from more than 30 nominees.
The editors had already decided on the winners in two categories: Musician Jan Delay received the special prize for his services to German-language hip-hop and pop. The twins Tom and Bill Kaulitz from the band Tokio Hotel were honored with a crown for "Best Entertainment" for their outstanding entertainer qualities.
Westdeutscher Rundfunk calls the Krone "Germany's biggest music prize". For the 24th time, the radio station sent established artists from the German pop and hip-hop scene as well as promising newcomers into the race. The audience awards are regarded as an important indicator of the preferences of a young audience.
The award ceremony took place in Bielefeld for the first time. After many years in Bochum's Jahrhunderthalle, this time the organizers opted for the more intimate club atmosphere of Bielefeld's Lokschuppen.
The media widely celebrated Nina Chuba, Cro, and Ski Aggu's victories at the "1Live-Krone" Awards, recognizing their significant contributions to music. People from various parts of the world, including Bali and Bielefeld, showed their support for these artists, with some even participating in their award-winning performances.
