A City in Orange: Hours before the Quarter-final match between Romania and the Netherlands, cheerful football fans transform Munich into a party zone. Dutch football fans, especially around the Olympiapark, dance, hop and cheer with flags, drums - and many of them in the orange jerseys of their team.

Romanian fans in Blue-Yellow-Red gather meanwhile on Marienplatz in the Old Town and get themselves in the mood for the 6:00 PM game with songs and drums in front of the historic Town Hall. Dutch fans also mingle among them - and pose peacefully with the Romanian women and men.

But orange dominates: "Munich turns Orange", writes the German fan site oranjefußball on the platform X. The atmosphere: Peaceful, funny and contagiously happy, just like with previous Dutch games at this European Championship. With them: Hats in all imaginable forms, bright orange flags and many megaphones. Neon orange Lederhosen creations are also worth admiring. The police report around 7000 people participating in the Orange Fanwalk in the north of Munich towards the Olympiastadion Fanzone. And aside from some pyrotechnics, everything is peaceful.

Bavarian football fans might also feel addressed by this Dutch people with this song: "Viva Hollandia", also known as one of the hymns of the Oktoberfest here, where it is called "Viva Bavaria" instead.
