Insurances - Munich Re expects a profit of five billion euros in 2024

Munich Re, the world's largest reinsurer, is targeting another leap in profits for the coming year. Thanks to growth in all areas of business, the DAX-listed company announced in Munich on Friday that net profit should reach around five billion euros. This puts the profit target eleven percent above the EUR 4.5 billion that CEO Joachim Wenning has set for 2023. Analysts recently forecast just under EUR 4.6 billion for the current year and just under EUR 5 billion for 2024.
