Approximately one and a half hours before the kick-off of the EM-Quarterfinal match between Germany and Spain at the Munich Olympiapark, the Public-Viewing Area had already reached its capacity of 25,000 spectators. "The Fan Zone is now closed," Munich city shared on the platform X in the afternoon. The city urged fans to head directly to the Olympiastadion for the live broadcast of the game at 6:00 PM. There are still free spots there.

The city administration had apparently anticipated the massive influx in advance of the game. In addition to the opposing tribune, the interior of the Olympiastadion will also be opened for fans, the city announced. Up to 8,000 additional spectators can find a place there. In total, approximately 53,000 fans can watch the duel for a place in the semifinals at the Olympiapark and stadium. This is expected to be around the best weather conditions.
