A man believed to have set two garbage cans ablaze in a Berlin neighborhood has been taken into custody by the police. The officers received a call on Monday morning about a burning waste bin in the backyard of a multi-family house on Hasselwerderstraße. Witnesses spotted a suspicious individual and reported his whereabouts.
Upon investigation, the officers discovered the man opening a barrel, which began to smoke shortly after. Neighbors quickly put out the blaze to avoid further damage.
