Strong smoke development - Multiple light injuries in roof fire in Hamburg

At a roof fire in Hamburg-Hummelsbüttel, several people have been lightly injured. Three fire engines are in operation to extinguish the fire on the rooftop of the four-story building, a fire department spokesperson said. The number of injured people was initially unclear. A few rescue service units have been alerted precautionarily.

The police reported via platform X about a strong smoke development. A police helicopter is in operation. A warning also came in via the Nina warning app that the smoke from the major fire could pollute the air for residents. Doors and windows should be closed.

The fire in Hamburg-Hummelsbüttel appears to be affecting the nearby area, as a notice was issued on the Nina warning app about potential air pollution due to the smoke development. Despite the efforts of the firefighters with their erasure train, the smoke persists, allowing the police helicopter to maintain a bird's-eye view over the scene in Hamburg.
