Three youngsters and a 45-year-old lady are in a dire state following an unfortunate incident involving a tractor and a trailer in Thuringia, close to the border with Hesse. The tractor, on a personal tour, skidded out of control on a tricky, gravel-filled forest route in Sünna, a neighborhood of Unterbreizbach, as per the police report. The tractor operator apparently lost control, causing the vehicle to flip over. The trailer carried nine youngsters aged 4 to 13 and the 45-year-old woman.
Emergency medical helicopters shifted the severely wounded to hospitals, according to the police. Three additional kids and the 70-year-old tractor operator suffered serious injuries. Another three children experienced minor wounds. Apart from the fire department and emergency services, the disaster response team was also dispatched to the scene. The police are handling the situation as an accident. As per standard procedure in such scenarios, an investigation into allegations of negligent physical harm against the driver has begun.
