- Multi-vehicle accident causes traffic jams on A3
A multi-vehicle collision on the A3 highway near Frankfurt, heading towards Cologne, is causing traffic disruptions. Around two or three vehicles collided with each other in the morning, according to a spokesperson for Frankfurt Police. It was initially unclear if anyone was injured.
During cleanup operations, traffic is being diverted onto the hard shoulder. According to the ADAC, a ten-kilometer traffic jam has formed between the Hanau and Frankfurt-South junctions.
The stranded vehicles on the hard shoulder are adding to the inconvenience caused by the multi-vehicle collision. The recovery team is requiring extra time to tow away the damaged vehicles, further exacerbating the traffic congestion due to the incident.
