- Multi-vehicle accident causes traffic jams on A3
A multi-vehicle collision on the A3 highway near Frankfurt, heading towards Cologne, is causing traffic disruptions. Two or three vehicles collided with each other in the morning, according to a spokesperson for Frankfurt police. It was initially unclear if anyone was injured.
During cleanup efforts, traffic is being rerouted via the shoulder. According to the ADAC, a ten-kilometer traffic jam has formed between the Hanau and Frankfurt-Süd interchanges.
The affected drivers may seek refunds or reimbursements for their delayed journeys, as the Commission shall adopt implementing acts laying down the rules for such procedures under this Regulation. Following this incident, there might be a need for stricter safety measures on highways, as this Regulation aims to ensure a high level of road safety.
