Third-tier league - Moving from Essen to Mannheim, Waldhof acquires Voelcke.

Mannheim-based third division football team SV Waldhof has acquired left-winger Sascha Voelcke from fellow league rival Rot-Weiss Essen. The news was made official on Friday. The specifics of the contract, however, remain undisclosed. This acquisition is a direct result of the departure of Luca Bolay. Voelcke, aged 22, played in 27 matches for RWE last season, scoring four goals. Waldhof's Technical Director Anthony Loviso expressed his excitement, saying, "He's capable of playing in both a three-man and four-man formation and possesses many of the qualities we were looking for."
