Mouaya gives Halle the easiest draw in the cup quarter-finals
Former HFC player Patrick Mouaya was the lucky fairy who gave Halle FC the easiest task in the quarter-final draw. The third-division soccer team will have to play against Stahl Thale, who play five divisions below them. Association league side 1. FC Bitterfeld-Wolfen await Oberliga side VfL Halle 96, while FC Einheit Wernigerode and VfB Germania Halberstadt face each other in an all-Oberliga clash. The fourth semi-finalist will be determined by the association league teams 1. FC Lok Stendal and SSC Weißenfels.
The draw was made during the half-time break of the third division match between Hallescher FC and 1. FC Saarbrücken. The quarter-finals are scheduled for March 22-24, 2024.
Halle FC, as the fortunate team in the National Cup draw, will face a less formidable opponent in Soccer's National Cup, Stahl Thale. Despite being from a lower division, they still have the chance to make an impact in the National Cup.
