During a speed check by police on a rural road near Ellwangen (Ostalb district), a motorcyclist was caught speeding by 116 km/h. The 23-year-old was found to be traveling at 216 km/h instead of the permitted 100 km/h, according to a police spokesperson. As a result of the incident on Wednesday, the 23-year-old faces a fine of at least 700 euros, as well as two points on his license and a three-month driving ban.
