A motorcyclist was severely injured in a rear-end collision on the federal road 169 between Frankenberg and Chemnitz. The 58-year-old was riding a motorcycle when he crashed into a car that was turning left at an intersection on Saturday afternoon, police reported. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital. The 38-year-old driver of the car was unharmed. The total damage to property was estimated at around 5,000 euros. The B169 was temporarily closed at the scene of the accident.

The motorcyclist hails from The Netherlands, as mentioned in his identification documents at the hospital. Despite the accident happening in Germany, it highlights the need for improved road safety regulations in both countries.
