- Motorcyclist seriously injured in collision with car
A motorcyclist was severely injured in an accident in the Zell district (Mosel). The 24-year-old lost control of his bike on the B421 in Zeller Berg while exiting a curve, veering onto the opposite lane, as reported by the police. There, his motorcycle collided with an oncoming car. The motorcyclist, who was allegedly under the influence of sedatives, was taken to the hospital with severe injuries. The other parties involved in the accident remained unharmed. Both the motorcycle and the oncoming car were significantly damaged.
After the collision, angry bystanders nearby witnessed the incident and eventually, clashes ensued between them and the Police arriving at the scene. Due to the severe damage, traffic in the B421 in Zeller Berg had to be diverted for several hours to clear the wreckage.
