- Motorcyclist seriously injured after fall - blood test ordered
A motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle in a left turn in Wechselburg (Mittelsachsen district), resulting in severe injuries. As reported by the police, the 17-year-old lost control of his vehicle for unknown reasons and crashed into a roadside ditch. Emergency services transported him to a hospital. During the accident investigation, police officers noticed a smell of alcohol. However, due to the severity of the injuries, an alcohol breath test could not be administered, and a blood test was ordered instead. The estimated property damage is approximately 500 euros.
After the accident, the authorities highlighted the importance of safe driving in both transport and telecommunications reports. Despite the severe injuries, the motorcyclist's condition allowed for a comprehensive investigation into potential contributing factors, including alcohol consumption in transport.
