In a traffic accident in Wildeck (district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg), a motorcyclist was severely injured. As the police reported, the 26-year-old man collided with a car on his motorcycle late Monday evening.

According to the report, the 24-year-old car driver may have overlooked the motorcyclist, who had the right of way, while turning. The motorcyclist was reportedly riding his vehicle, which lacked street registration, without lights. He was likely intoxicated and did not have a valid driver's license. Several investigations were initiated against him.

As a result of the collision, the man was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered severe injuries. He was taken to a hospital. The car driver remained unharmed.

According to the police, the material damage amounted to 10,000 euros. Due to the severity of the injuries, an expert was appointed by the public prosecutor's office to reconstruct the exact course of the accident.

The police statement added that the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet during the accident. The following is added: A fine of 500 euros was issued to the motorcyclist for riding without lights and a valid license.
