- Motorcyclist falls and needs to be resuscitated
In a traffic accident on a rural road in Alsfeld (Vogelsberg district), a motorcyclist suffered severe injuries. According to police reports, the man lost control of his bike in a left-hand curve, veering too far to the right and colliding with the guardrail. The 30-year-old was thrown from his vehicle upon impact.
The police reported that the responding emergency services had to revive the severely injured man before transporting him to the hospital. As alcohol influence could not be ruled out, a blood sample was ordered by the public prosecutor's office.
Police estimate the material damage to be around 5,000 euros. A rescue helicopter was also called to the scene but not used for further rescue operations. The road was temporarily closed to traffic for the investigation. The cause of the accident is now under police investigation.
