Accident - Motorcyclist dies in collision with car
A female motorcycle rider died in an accident on Bundesstraße 388 in the Landkreis Rottal-Inn. A 18-year-old car driver had turned into the oncoming traffic lane to overtake on a long curve late Thursday evening between Huldsessen and Vordersarling, according to police.
There, the car collided frontally with the oncoming motorcycle rider. The 22-year-old woman died at the scene. A car driver following behind the motorcycle also collided with the car in the oncoming traffic. The 53-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
The 18-year-old was lightly injured. He is expected to face a criminal investigation for reckless manslaughter and endangerment of road traffic, the police announced.
