- Motorcyclist dies after collision with car
A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a car near Tangermünde (district of Stendal). The 75-year-old was traveling towards the 20-year-old driver of the car, who was attempting to turn left onto federal road B188 and failed to see the motorcycle. Both vehicles collided in the merging area. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital by ambulance but succumbed to his injuries about an hour later, according to a police spokesperson. The car driver sustained minor injuries. The road was fully closed for over five hours.
