- Motorcyclist crashes on highway - seriously injured

A 22-year-old motorcyclist suffered severe injuries in a fall on the A1 motorway in the Harburg district. On Monday evening, he lost control of his motorcycle between the Heidenau and Sittensen interchanges, heading towards the central reservation, and crashed, the police reported. The motorcyclist fell with his bike, which remained on the left lane. The 25-year-old driver of a following car was unable to avoid it and collided with the motorcycle.

The police believe that fatigue was the cause of the crash.

The accident involving the motorcyclist occurred in the District of Harburg, specifically on the A1 motorway. The driver of the following car had trouble avoiding the motorcycle in the same district.
