Investigations into a moped theft led police in Schkeuditz, near Leipzig, to the discovery of cannabis plants and weapons. A 17-year-old's Simson S51 was stolen at the end of July, police reported. Surveillance footage pointed to a 54-year-old Schkeuditz resident as the suspect. Upon searching his residence, police found 20 cannabis plants, air rifles, daggers, and switchblades, as well as a reported stolen bicycle and another missing Simson moped. The originally sought 17-year-old's moped remains missing.

The investigation uncovered various weapons, including air rifles, daggers, and switchblades, alongside the cannabis plants. The suspect was found to possess multiple stolen items, including a reported bicycle and another missing Simson moped.
