The town of Herrnhut is... - Motorcycle suspects apprehended following pursuit.
On Sunday night, police managed to apprehend two suspected motorcycle thieves in eastern Saxony. At about 4 a.m., their speeding station wagon crossed a police checkpoint, with a motorcycle jutting out from its trunk. The Görlitz police department reported that this bike had been swiped in Herrnhut. Three squad cars chased after them. The two culprits tossed the stolen motorcycle out of their vehicle and smashed into a police car twice. Yet they failed to escape during their getaway in Tauchritz. The men, aged 26 and 36, are currently being held in custody. No one sustained injuries during the ordeal. The total damage was roughly 29,000 euros. As a consequence of the chase, the two vehicles involved were subsequently deemed unserviceable.
