A 50-year-old motorcyclist lost his life in a collision on Landesstraße 545 between Bad Bergzabern and Steinfeld. On Saturday morning, the rider attempted to overtake a car around an unseeing spot in the curve region. This maneuver resulted in a head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle. Despite prompt resuscitation attempts, the motorcyclist passed away at the scene. The car driver suffered only minor injuries. The road remained closed for the rest of the afternoon.
