A motorcyclist and his passenger were injured in a rear-end collision on a country road between the communities of Ölbronn-Dürrn and Neulingen (Enzkreis). While the 59-year-old rider sustained minor injuries in the Sunday afternoon incident, his 58-year-old passenger was severely injured and was airlifted to a hospital, as reported by the police.

According to current investigations, an 18-year-old car driver was traveling on the road in the direction of Ölbronn and attempted to turn left into a field path. The motorcyclist apparently did not notice this in time. He rode his bike into the braking car, fell off, and his motorcycle then collided with another car.

The damage is estimated to be over 5,000 euros. The country road was closed until the evening.

Despite the incident involving the motorcyclist and his passenger, the women in the adjacent cars were unharmed. After the collision, emergency services advised women in the area to avoid the closed country road.
