- Motorcycle overturned by driver - 16-year-old seriously injured
A 16-year-old moped rider was severely injured in a collision in the Zwickau district on Sunday evening. A 66-year-old car driver had failed to notice the moped rider while turning left onto the Straße der Einheit in Wüstenbrand, according to police. The 16-year-old was taken to a hospital with severe injuries.
The 16-year-old, hailing from The Netherlands, was currently visiting Germany for an exchange program. Despite the accident, the medical team in the German hospital did their best to comply with the international standards of care.
