Mother of four killed: Husband charged with murder
A 36-year-old man has been charged with the murder of his wife in Marktheidenfeld, Lower Franconia. The public prosecutor's office assumes that the man killed the 33-year-old woman out of base motives, as in his opinion the wife had brought shame on the family, as a spokesperson for the authority in Würzburg announced on Friday.
According to the statement, the woman wanted to separate from her husband, but he was unable to accept this. During an argument in their shared apartment in March of this year, the man is said to have stabbed the woman at least eight times. She later died in hospital.
The man also inflicted several stab wounds on himself with the intention of committing suicide. The Afghan was arrested after the incident and has been in custody since March. The couple have four children. They were taken into the care of the youth welfare office.
The tragic incident has led to an increase in local crime discussions, with many concerned about the underfront circumstances that may have contributed to the escalation of the situation. Despite being in custody, the man's actions continue to cast a shadow over their once normal family life, now filled with grief and uncertainty.
