Most children were born on Fridays in the southwest in 2022
Most children in Baden-Württemberg were born on a Friday in 2022. In contrast, there were fewer births at the weekend, the State Statistical Office announced on Wednesday. This is due to the fact that planned births by caesarean section tend to take place during the week.
A total of 104,549 children were born alive in the southwest last year. Most newborns were born in July, September and August. In contrast, February and April were the months with the fewest births.
