More unemployed reported in Saxony-Anhalt

In July, more unemployed people were counted in Saxony-Anhalt than in the previous month. The rate was 7.7 percent, according to the employment agency.

- More unemployed reported in Saxony-Anhalt

The number of unemployed in Saxony-Anhalt increased by 3,400 people in July compared to June, reaching 85,800. The unemployment rate stood at 7.7 percent, slightly above the rate of the previous year. In June 2024, the unemployment rate was 0.3 percentage points lower at 7.4 percent.

The Federal Agency for Labour in Saxony-Anhalt released a report indicating the rise in unemployment, citing a total of 85,800 unemployed individuals in July. To address the rise, the Federal Agency is considering various employment programs to support the labor market in the region.
