Southwestern Germany - More train service suspensions occur across various routes.

Due to the recent flooding in parts of Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria, the German Railways (Deutsche Bahn) is still struggling to run some of their regional and long-distance train lines. The company posted an update on Tuesday about four more sections that are experiencing disruptions.

These disrupted lines are between Ulm and Augsburg on the Stuttgart-Ulm-Augsburg-Munich line, between Donauwörth and Augsburg on the Nuremberg-Donauwörth-Augsburg-Munich line, between Buchloe and Memmingen on the Munich-Memmingen-Lindau line, and the entire Ulm-Memmingen-Kempten line. This means that Munich is inaccessible from the west and north.

Deutsche Bahn has kindly extended their leniency policy for tickets purchased on these lines from Sunday to Tuesday, allowing passengers to use them at a later time. If you have a ticket with the same destination, you can also travel on a different line. The railways expect high demand on all trains in the region, while the regional rail traffic in Bavaria is also feeling the effects of the floods. However, they recommend against taking train journeys to South Germany.

There are some individual disruptions and delays on various railway lines, such as Munich-Nuremberg-Erfurt-Berlin, Karlsruhe-Stuttgart-Ulm, Augsburg-Munich, Stuttgart-Mannheim-Frankfurt(M), Munich-Lindau-Bregenz-Zurich, Karlsruhe-Stuttgart-Crailsheim-Nuremberg, Augsburg-Kempten(Allgäu)-Oberstdorf, Nuremberg-Würzburg.
